I worked on a story about Randy Boyd recently. Boyd is the founder of Radio Systems and was recently named special advisor for Higher Education to Gov. Haslam. I have made photos of him before and every time I do I am always impressed. I made some portraits of Boyd at Pond Gap Elementary School and followed him through the rest of his day. He spends a lot of time at the school with students in after school programs as well as the Big Brothers / Big Sisters program. On this day he attended a musical program with students and then took several kids from both programs to see a University of Tennessee baseball game. Because Boyd donates to the University he gets tickets to every baseball game, he then donates those tickets for kids to see the game along with access to the MVP club. Very cool...very nice...it’s always good to see the better part of humanity in action...and I really like the photos from the day.
